Der Apparat, der eigentlich fotografisches Werkzeug zur perspektivischen Kontrolle und Mittel des fotospezifischen Blicks ist, wird selbst zum Fotomodell. In der Abfolge der Bildsequenz umkreist eine einzelne Lichtquelle wie eine Sonne das Objekt. Das Licht wechselt dabei von der verschlafenen Dunkelheit über die Blaue Stunde bis der Apparat schließlich im goldenen Morgenlicht erstrahlt.
