  "abstract" : [ "Abstract: \"Die hier vorgelegte Studie über die demografische Entwicklung in ausgewählten deutschen Bundesländern ist als eine Erweiterung der 2005 sowie 2006 für ausgewählte Großstädte Deutschlands veröffentlichten Untersuchungen (Bomsdorf/ Babel 2005, 2006) zu verstehen. Ein wesentlicher Grund für die 2005 und 2006 durchgeführten Forschungsarbeiten zum demografischen Wandel in Deutschlands Großstädten war die triviale Einsicht, dass der demografische Wandel vor Deutschlands Städten, Gemeinden und auch Ländern nicht Halt macht. Während bei der Untersuchung der Bevölkerungsentwicklung in Deutschland jedoch zumeist die Folgen für die sozialen Sicherungssysteme im Vordergrund stehen, gibt es bei einer auf der Ebene von Städten und Gemeinden vorgenommenen Betrachtung andere Schwerpunkte. Eine Veränderung der Altersstruktur der Bevölkerung und des Bevölkerungsumfangs hat unmittelbar Auswirkungen auf landespolitische bzw. kommunale Entscheidungen.
