  "abstract" : [ "Abstract: Die langfristige Abnahme und die kontinuierliche Alterung der Bevölkerung sowie die internationale und interregionale Migration lösen auch in Nordrhein-Westfalen einen tief greifenden sozialen und demographischen Wandel aus. Gerade unter dem Aspekt einer nachhaltigen Raumentwicklung ergibt sich ein umfassender Anpassungs- und Reorganisationsbedarf der Siedlungs-, Versorgungs- und Infrastruktur. Der demographisch-strukturelle Wandel betrifft die einzelnen Regionen in Nordrhein-Westfalen in unterschiedlichem Maße. Ein besonderer Anpassungsbedarf ergibt sich für die ohnehin seit Jahrzehnten vom ökonomischen Strukturwandel betroffenen altindustrialisierten Gebiete. Aber auch die anderen Regionstypen sind von den Konsequenzen des soziodemographischen Wandels betroffen. So nimmt infolge internationaler Zuwanderung und damit verbundener Heterogenisierungsprozesse gerade in den Metropolregionen und Dienstleistungszentren die soziale Polarisation und Segregation zu." ],
