  "abstract" : [ "Das Schwanentor gehörte zusammen mit dem Kuh-, Stapel- und Marientor zu den vier großen Stadttoren im mittelalterlichen Duisburg. Die imposante Doppeltoranlage wurde im April 1815 abgerissen und durch ein einfaches Gattertor ersetzt. Der Bau des Innenhafen-Kanals ab 1828 erforderte an dieser Stelle dann wieder eine Brückenquerung. Ab 1831 befand sich hier eine hölzerne Zugbrücke, die im Jahr 1865 durch eine erste eiserne Klappbrücke ersetzt wurde, welche den Kanal in einer Breite von gut 7 m überspannte." ],
