  "abstract" : [ "ger: Bei Wickrathberg am Niederrhein wurden für pollenanalytische Untersuchungen der Siedlungsentwicklung aus holozänen Auenablagerungen der Niers zwei Bohrprofile Um die Pollendiagramme WI und WII kulturlandschaftsgeschichtlich und -genetisch auswerten zu können, wurden zunächst die hierfür notwendigen Interpretationskriterien und -probleme erörtert. Durch die Verknüpfung der Pollendiagramme WI und WII mit der Vegetationsgeschichte Mitteleuropas, unter besonderer Berücksichtigung der schon vorhandenen Pollendaten aus der Niederrheinischen Bucht, konnten die lokalen Pollenzonen relativ datiert werden, womit der zeitliche Bezug zur Siedlungsgeschichte hergestellt war. Die Auswertungen der Pollendiagramme wurden durch Erkenntnisse vor allem der Archäologie und der Paläoethnobotanik ergänzt. Mit den Pollendiagrammen WI und WII konnten das ältere MeBolithikum, das Jungneolithikum, die späte Römerzeit, die Völkerwanderungszeit, die fränkische Landnahme, das frühe Mittelalter (Ausbauperiode), das Hochmittelalter (Konsolidierungsphase), das Spätmittelalter (Depressions- und Aufbauperiode) und die Neuzeit erfaßt werden. Die pollenanalytischen Befunde sprechen dafür, und damit bestätigen und ergänzen sie schon vorhandene Ergebnisse der Archäologie und der Paläobotanik, daß der Raum Wickrathberg ein altes, seit dem Neolithikum bewohntes Siedlungsgebiet ist, welches spätestens seit der Römerzeit kontinuierlich besiedelt wird.", "eng: In Wickrathberg (Lower Rhine District) two profiles The pollen analytical reconstruction of the history and genesis of the culture landscape first needs a discussion of the criteria and problems in interpretating pollen data. In connecting the pollen diagrams WI and WII with the vegetation history of middle Europe with particular regard to the pollen data from the south Lower Rhine District the local pollen zones were dated relatively. This gave the temporal relation to the settlement history. The evaluation of the pollen diagrams was supplemented by results obtained from archaeology and palaeoethnobotany. The pollen diagrams WI and WII embrace the older Heolithic, the early Neolithic, the late Roman time, the Dark Ages, the \"fränkische Landnahme\", the early Middle Ages (building-up period), the mid-Middle Ages (consolditating period), the late Middle Ages (depression and extension period) and the Modern Times. The palynologic data. suggest that the area researched by Wickrathberg is an old settlement area, which in the neolithic time was already cultivated and which has been continually populated since the Roman Time.
