  "abstract" : [ "In den letzten Jahren wuchs das Forschungsinteresse an der räumlichen Analyse von Kriminalität in Mikrosegmenten. Insgesamt verschiebt sich der Fokus der Kriminologie weg vom Individuum und hin zu räumlichen Aspekten. In der vorliegenden Arbeit wird ein kommunaler Ansatz verwendet, welcher die soziale und physische Umwelt für die Erklärung von Kriminalität in den Vordergrund stellt. Im Gegensatz zur Mehrheit der kriminologischen Studien untersucht diese Arbeit die Entstehung von Kriminalität jedoch nicht im Kontext von Wohnquartieren oder anderen Makroebenen, sondern auf der Ebene von Mikro- bzw. Straßensegmenten. Es wird davon ausgegangen, dass die theoretischen Einflüsse der Theorien in Straßensegmenten präziser gemessen werden können als auf der Ebene von Wohnquartieren, weil sie ein eigenständiges soziales System abbilden. Sherman, Gartin und Buerger prägten 1989 im Rahmen der Untersuchung von Kriminalität in Mikroräumen den Forschungszweig der Kriminologie des Ortes (vgl. 1989: 134). Dieser befasst sich mit der Frage, wieso Kriminalität an bestimmten Orten auftritt und versucht mögliche Risiko- bzw. Schutzfaktoren zu identifizieren.Die räumliche Konzentration sowie die kriminalitätsfördernden bzw. kriminalitätshemmenden Umweltfaktoren in Mikrosegmenten sind für US-amerikanische Städte in einer Vielzahl von Studien belegt worden, wobei sich eine über die Dauer stabile Konzentration der Kriminalität in nur wenigen Straßensegmenten zeigt. Weisburd (2015: 138) formuliert daher ein Gesetz der Kriminalitätskonzentration, welches besagt, dass ein bestimmter prozentualer Anteil an mikrogeografischen Analyseeinheiten mit 50 % der Kriminalität verbunden ist. Da es für europäische bzw. deutsche Städte bisher nur vereinzelt Studien gibt, setzt diese Arbeit an dieser Forschungslücke an und versucht die Ergebnisse aus den US-amerikanischen Städten anhand einer deutschen Großstadt zu replizieren." ],
