In [re]visiting Moers Festival geht es nicht um eine Meta-Erzählung. [re]visiting Moers Festival ist ein Gemeinschaftsprojekt, in dem Bühnenakteur:innen, Festivalbesucher:innen, -mitarbeiter:innen, -foto­graf:innen und weitere Zeitzeug:innen gleichberechtigt zu Wort kommen, deren Stimmen sich kaleidoskopartig zu einem Vielklang aus 50 Geschichten verdichten.Es ist ein Buch, in dem Menschen sich erinnern. Sie tun dies in ihrer jeweils ganz eigenen Art, mal eher aus der Distanz in Form eines Rückblicks, mal durch das Ein­tauchen in ein „Damals\", in dessen Zeit-Sprache noch niemand den Begriff„ Exot\" kritisch reflektierte oder ein Bewusstsein für das Gendern von Wörtern hatte.-", "Mal ist es die Bündelung des Gefühls „moers\" in den wenigen Zeilen eines Gedichts, mal die Erfindung einer moers-Formel oder der schnelle Strich eines Stifts, der in eine Zeichnung mündet. Unsere Arbeit bestand vor allem darin, diese Geschichten in Wort und Bild einzufangen und dem Buch einen Rhythmus zu geben, der dem raschen Takt der moers-Erzählungen dann und wann eine weiße Seite als Kontrast und Freiraum für eigene Erinnerungsfelder der Leser:innen hinzufügt. Instead, it wanted to be understood as a major (social) experiment in which the dialogue between musicians and audience formed part of the programme.
