Der Krieg war verloren, das nationalsozialistische Regime zusammengebrochen und das Gebiet des Deutschen Reiches von den alliierten Mächten besetzt. Wie würden die französischen und US-amerikanischen Truppen auf die deutsche Bevölkerung reagieren, deren Führung den Beginn des Zweiten Weltkrieges verursacht hatte?
