  "abstract" : [ "Für die Erforschung des römischen Heeres im antiken Spanien und in der Provinz Germania inferior gewinnt der vergleichende Austausch zu den üblicherweise separat betrachteten Gebieten zunehmend an Bedeutung. Neue Ergebnisse zu zivilen und militärischen Ansiedlungen, zu Stadtgründungen und zur Einbindung in das Fernhandelsnetz stellen nur einige der Aspekte dar, die auf der internationalen Tagung \"Armee und Romanisierung. Hispanien und Germanien im Vergleich - Ejército y romanización. Hispania y Germania en comparación\" im LVR-RömerMuseum vorgestellt und lebhaft diskutiert wurden. Erscheint die jeweilige Situation am Rhein und in den hispanischen Provinzen auf den ersten Blick ganz unterschiedlich, tritt die vergleichbare Bedeutung, die das römische Militär auch als Kulturträger und Motor für die urbane Entwicklung dieser Regionen hatte, durch die aktuellen Forschungen immer deutlicher hervor. Die Ergebnisse der internationalen Tagung werden in insgesamt 20 Beiträgen zusammengefasst." ],
