Von großer Bedeutung ist allerdings auch der normative Rahmen, der dem Handeln der Polizeibeamten jeder Epoche gesetzt worden ist.Häufig stellt sich im Rahmen polizeigeschichtlicher Forschungsprojekte die Frage, welche Vorschriften die Organisation, die Zuständigkeit, die Aufgabenstellung oder dasBeamtenrecht einer bestimmten Zeit bestimmt haben.Mit der vorliegenden Arbeit wird eine Sammlung von Gesetzen, Verordnungen und Erlassen angeboten, die das normative Fundament der deutschen Polizei zwischen demZusammenbruch des nationalsozialistischen Regimes im Frühjahr 1945 und dem Jahr1950 gebildet haben. Die Besonderheit dieser Zeit liegt vor allem einem in einemWechsel der Gesetzgeber. So bestimmte nach dem Sieg der Alliierten über die Nationalsozialisten zunächst der Alliierte Kontrollrat als gemeinsames Gremium der Siegermächte die Gesetzgebung, die sich vorrangig auf eine Beseitigung aller nationalsozialistischen Einflüsse auf die Polizei und deren grundlegende Neuorganisation richtete.Mit der Einrichtung der amerikanischen, der britischen, der französischen und der sowjetischen Besatzungszone traten die jeweiligen Militärregierungen in den von ihnenbeanspruchten deutschen Gebieten als Gesetzgeber hinzu. Mit einer langsamen, aberstetigen Rückführung der legislativen Verantwortung an die Deutschen kamen schließlich auch die neu gebildeten Bundesländer als Gesetzgeber dazu.Die hier vorgelegte Sammlung polizeirelevanter Normen erhebt keinen Anspruch aufVollständigkeit, da insbesondere viele Erlasse nicht veröffentlich worden und damitschwer erreichbar sind. Es wurde jedoch versucht, möglichst viele relevante Normenfür die Geschichtsforschenden zusammenzutragen.
