  "abstract" : [ "An der Handelsroute des Hellwegs errichteten die Paderborner Kapuziner seit 1612 eine Bibliothek, die sowohl der Predigtpraxis des Klosters diente als auch ihre Selbstverortung in der Gelehrten- und Ordenswelt unterstützte. Doch wie lässt sich eine Klosterbibliothek rekonstruieren und erforschen, deren Bücher seit der Säkularisation weit verstreut, verloren gegangen oder gar zerstört sind? Der vorliegende Band beschreibt den Transformationsprozess des 1761 entstandenen Bibliothekskatalogs der Paderborner Kapuziner in eine digitale Quellenedition. Nach einer kritischen Reflexion des Wesens digitaler Editionen wird nachgezeichnet, wie aus einer Archivalie zunächst ein hochauflösendes Faksimile, anschließend eine maschinenlesbare Textauszeichnung und schließlich eine Online-Edition, eine durchsuchbare Datenbank und auswertbare Forschungsdaten entstehen. Darauf aufbauend wird in einer Fallstudie der Bibliothekskatalog mit klassischen, qualitativen Methoden der Geschichtswissenschaft untersucht und zudem die etwa 5.271 Bände, 1.513 Personen und 930 Orte aus dem rekonstruierten Bestand für eine exemplarische statistische Auswertung genutzt, um mit quantitativen Mitteln, Spuren frühneuzeitlichen Kulturtransfers sichtbar zu machen. Welche philosophischen und theologischen Strömungen prägten das Paderborner Kloster durch seine Bibliothek? Welche Verflechtungen mit dem europäischen Buchmarkt lassen sich nachvollziehen? Anhand eines einzelnen Bibliothekskataloges zeigt die Studie auf, wie ein fast verloren geglaubtes Kulturerbe durch digitale Forschungsansätze rekonstruiert werden kann und welches Erkenntnispotenzial die Auswertung der daraus gewonnenen Daten für die historische Bibliotheksforschung birgt." ],
