  "abstract" : [ "Über Umbrüche und Wandel kollektiver Bildgedächtnisse nach dem Bergbausterben.", "Seit Beginn der 1990er-Jahre teilen die deutschen Montanindustrien in Ost und West ein ähnliches Schicksal. Mit dem Ende der DDR waren nicht mehr nur das Ruhrgebiet und das Saarland vom Zechensterben und von wirtschaftlicher, sozialer und kultureller Transformation betroffen. Auch ein Großteil der Braunkohlenreviere im Osten des Landes und der Uranerzabbau standen vor ihrem Aus. Das betraf die dort arbeitenden Menschen und die industriell ausgebeutete Umwelt. Ehemalige Fabrikkomplexe, Kippen, Halden und Restlöcher wurden ab- und umgebaut. Mit den veränderten Erscheinungsbildern der Bergbaugebiete wandelten sich auch die kollektiven Bildgedächtnisse und Narrative. Zeugnis davon legen zeitgenössische Künste und dokumentarische Medien in Form von Literatur, Film, Fotografie und bildender Kunst ab. Deren Urheber:innen sind häufig biografisch mit der schwindenden Montanindustrie verbunden und verstehen sie als ihr kulturelles Erbe. Ihre Erzählungen und Bilder von Bergbaulandschaften verzeichnen die Umbrüche abhängig von Ortszugehörigkeit und Geschehenszusammenhang auf unterschiedliche Weise, was sich auch aus den verschiedentlich geprägten Vorstellungen von Vergangenheit, Gegenwart und Zukunft in Ost und West erschließen lässt." ],
