  "note" : [ "Der Verein wurde 1990 von Migrant*innen gegründet und verfügt über die bundesweit größte Sammlung von Objekten und Zeugnissen, die die vielfältige Geschichte der Migration in Deutschland dokumentieren. Zusätzlich forschen und publizieren wir zu verschiedenen Themen und gestalten Ausstellungen. Von Anfang an machte sich DOMiD für eine Erinnerungskultur in der Migrationsgesellschaft stark und tritt auch heute noch dafür ein, dass die vielfältige Geschichte von Migrant*innen in offiziellen Geschichtserzählungen Einzug erhält. So soll die Geschichte der Migration in und nach Deutschland einem breiten Publikum präsentiert werden. Neben unserer musealen und archivalischen Arbeit, organisieren wir Veranstaltungen, Tagungen und Vorträge. Ziel ist es, Migration als Normalfall zu vermitteln. Damit soll letztlich das Fundament einer gemeinsamen, transkulturellen Identität geschaffen werden." ],
