  "abstract" : [ "Der Tabellenband dient als Ergänzung des ausführlichen Länderberichts zu Nordrhein-Westfalen, der im Rahmen des Projektes \"Vergleichende Analyse von Länderarbeitsmärkten\" (VALA) entstanden ist. Er enthält zusätzliche Informationen, die im Rahmen der empirischen Untersuchungen zu VALA erstellt wurden und keinen Eingang in die Interpretation des Länderberichts fanden. Dargestellt werden die Beschäftigungsentwicklung, die Qualifikations-, Betriebsgrößen- und Branchenstruktur sowie das Lohnniveau im Zeitraum zwischen 1993 und 2001. Diese Informationen werden für Westdeutschland insgesamt, NRW und für alle Kreise Nordrhein-Westfalens ausgewiesen. Dies ermöglicht dem interessierten Leser Vergleiche zwischen regionalen Einheiten der gleichen Ebene (z. B. zwischen den einzelnen Kreisen) und zwischen regionalen Einheiten unterschiedlicher Ebenen (z. B. Westdeutschland - NRW, Kreise - NRW). Neben den Informationen zu den genannten Merkmalen fließen ebenfalls die Ergebnisse der multivariaten Analyse ein. Aus welcher Datenquelle die dargestellten Merkmale und Ergebnisse stammen und wie sie abgegrenzt bzw. generiert wurden, wird jeweils in kompakter Form an den entsprechenden Stellen erläutert.
