April dieses Jahres als Hilfslehrer und Ordinarius von Unterquarta an der Thomasschule zu Leipzig ein, wo er seinem Vorgänger im jetzigen Amte als Kollege und Freund näher trat, und verliess an demselben Tage des nächsten Jahres diese Stellung, um durch das Vertrauen der Kgl. Sächs. Regierung als Oberlehrer am Gymnasium zu Bautzen, wo er seine wissenschaftliche Vorbildung erhalten hatte, einzutreten. So lieb ihm auch seine Tätigkeit an dieser Anstalt, an der er zuletzt als Ordinarius von Obertertia bekleidete, und das Verhältnis zu seinen dortigen Kollegen geworden war, so entschloss er sich doch, der Aufforderung der Herzogl. Regierung, die Leitung des Lyceums zu Eisenberg Folge zu leisten.
