  "note" : [ "Gesehen am 15.01.2020", "Gewaltakzeptanz, Gewaltbereitschaft und Gewalttätigkeit in unseren Gegenwartsgesellschaften sind Gegenstand publizistischer, politischer, wissenschaftlicher und nicht zuletzt alltäglicher Diskussionen, die in Teilen kontrovers, in Teilen aber ausgesprochen harmonisch-konsensuell verlaufen. Zu letzteren gehört die beeindruckende Eintracht darüber, dass Gewalt ein typisch männliches Phänomen und permanent im Steigen begriffen wäre. Solche - insbesondere massenmedial verbreitete - Stereotype, denen eine Interessen gebundene (um nicht zu sagen: ideologische Komponente) eigen ist, werden in konsequenter Fortentwicklung der Stereotype zu Vorurteilen und als solche handlungsrelevant und bestimmen die zukünftige Gestaltung unserer Gesellschaft. Die damit einsetzende Spirale von \"immer mehr\" und \"immer schlimmer\" kann nur durchbrochen werden, wenn wissenschaftliche Arbeit theoretisch und/oder empirisch in ergebnisoffener, disziplinübergreifender Weise die Phänomene analysiert und die daraus resultierenden Erkenntnisse öffentlichkeitswirksam verbreitet. Dies tun zu können, setzt Ressourcen voraus, die die Unabhängigkeit wissenschaftlicher Arbeit und ihren Erfolg eröffnen und garantieren. Die Geschichts-und Gesellschaftswissenschaftliche Fakultät der Katholischen Universität Eichstätt-Ingolstadt ist in der glücklichen Lage, die Otto von Freising­Zustiftung zu haben, die es ermöglicht, z. B. Symposien zu organisieren und zu realisieren. Da der Lehrstuhl fiir Soziologie 11 sich mit den oben apostrophierten Fragestellungen seit Jahren beschäftigt und im Sommersemester 2003 die Otto von Freising-Mittel ihm zur Verfügung standen, wurde vom 3. bis 5. Juli 2003 eine interdisziplinäre Fachtagung zum Thema \"Geschlecht - Gewalt - Gesellschaft\" veranstaltet." ],
